Research-driven building design to achieve 2050 objects
The group made up of Behnisch Architekten, Drees & Sommer Schweiz AG, and ZPF Ingenieure AG wins the Parallel Studies Mandate (Mandat d’études parallèles - MEP) launched in 2018 by Bluefactory Fribourg-Freiburg SA and the Smart Living Lab in order to define the project of the new iconic building of the research center located in the blueFACTORY innovation district, Fribourg.

The Drees & Sommer Breakfast-Seminar on 15 May in Zurich provided interesting insights into future infrastructure topics. Comprising seven stories from the lower basement to the fifth story, the new building for the Felix Platter University Geriatrics Center in Basel, Switzerland, has 176 patient rooms with 280 beds, 1,655 doors, 969 windows, 11 elevators, and state-of-the-art energy standards. The new building was officially opened on February 22.
